“God sees us, and he knows how to tell us that everything is going to be alright and remind us who we belong to and what our mission really is,” Harris said. “So that was my message this morning.”
To the thieves who vandalized the church, Harris said, “You might gain financial gain momentarily, but in the end, what you’ve done will come back to haunt you later.”
“We lost a lot but will not let that keep us from praising God,” Harris said in an email to ChurchLeaders. “In spite of everything, we went on and had service and had a great time. We can’t let the devil defeat us.”
Memphis Police are investigating the burglary.
