Candace Cameron Bure Stars in 2 New Great American Family Christmas Movies
Bure and her staff at Great American Family are rolling out new Christmas movies again this year.
“A Christmas Less Traveled” (airing Nov. 16) is all about forgiveness. Bure said, “We take that journey in the truck to all of these destinations and locations. It’s almost like seeing Christmas through different generations and ages.”
The movie takes place in rural America. Desi (Bure) owns a less-than-profitable diner that owes more than it brings in. She’s forced to sell her 1964 red Ford F-100 (in mint condition), which used to belong to her father. The truck actually becomes a character in the show, taking Desi through a number of memorable moments from her childhood.
“There’s a lesson to be learned in forgiving yourself, but also forgiving others because God forgave us first,” Bure said.
On Dec. 1, Great American Family airs another soon-to-be Christmas classic, “Home Sweet Christmas.”
